Dear CHUSY,
Why do you love Israel?
I have been asked this question many times. It always seems to come up at USY conventions, Hebrew school, shul for services, or just around the Shabbat table. For me, the answer exists on many levels, but where does it exist for you?
Does your answer lie in the Judaic history that exists in Eretz Yisrael? Or the sense of belonging you feel in a state where you will always be welcome? Is it the beauty of the land you have seen yourself or in photos? Or is it the immense contribution Israel has made to the world as a whole?
Whatever your reasons are, I want to help you explore them and increase them. I want to help all of you to strengthen your connection to our homeland, to advocate for it, and to love it!
This year, let’s discover and grow together!
