Social Action/Tikun Olam

Dear CHUSY,
I must confess, I am obsessed with this earth and its inhabitants and my goal is to give all of you the same kinds of feelings. My obsession goes beyond just the earth and its inhabitants; it spreads to helping them strive and live happy and successful lives. The question is, though, how are we going to do this?
First, I hope to turn our region “green” with programming and attitude changes. The environment is calling for us and we need to open up and hear it! In order to be green, we have to have 100% participation. That’s my second goal. I hope to see every member of CHUSY rolling up their sleeves in order to help out. Also, you all know that Tikun Olam is a big thing. It is just one more reason to be involved.
CHUSY, fixing the world is a big and challenging task, but it can be made easier with your help. Let’s fix the world together one step at a time, one USYer at a time. As it says in Vayikra, “Thou shall not stand idly by”.
