Get ready for an unforgettable 50-hour getaway this MLK Weekend for Jewish 8th-12th graders, from Saturday, January 18th-Monday, January 20th!

Together, we’ll stay at the Perlstein Resort at Camp Chi, explore Nickelodeon Universe and the iconic Mall of America, relax at a hotel with an indoor water park, and meet teens from EMTZA USY during a special crossover event.

Generous support makes this adventure more affordable than ever!

  • $300 subsidy from JUF Springboard’s Access Grants

  • $50 grant from a USY Chapter Grant

  • $50 early bird discount (available if you register by 12/31)

All together, these contributions bring the cost of this $599 trip down to just $199!

FAQs 

1. When is the trip?

The trip takes place from January 18th to 20th, with a 6:00pm drop-off on January 18th at Congregation Beth Judea in Long Grove (dinner will be provided). Participants will return to Congregation Beth Judea on January 20th between 9:00pm-9:30pm.

2. Who can attend?

This trip is open to Jewish 8th-12th graders.

3. What is included in the cost?

Your registration fee of $199 (thanks to generous grants!) covers:

  • Transportation (via coach bus)

  • Lodging for 2 nights (1 night at Perlstein Resort, 1 night at a water park hotel)

  • Admission to Mall of America attractions, including Nickelodeon Universe

  • Meals and snacks (kosher)

  • Activities, surprises, and the crossover event with EMTZA USY teens

4. How is the cost reduced?

The original cost of the trip is $599, but thanks to the following grants and discounts, we’re able to offer it for just $199:

  • $300 subsidy from JUF Springboard’s Access Grants

  • $50 grant from a USY Chapter Grant

  • $50 early bird discount (available if you register by 12/31)

5. How do I register?

6. What kind of transportation will be provided?

We’ll be traveling by coach bus. Pick-up and drop-off will be provided from Congregation Beth Judea. Further details will be provided closer to the trip. 

7. What meals are provided? Are dietary restrictions accommodated?

All meals provided during the trip will be kosher, and dietary restrictions will be accommodated.

8. Should participants bring spending money?

Yes, participants should bring spending money for shopping at the Mall of America and for buying souvenirs.

9. What is the cancellation policy?

  • Full Refund if canceled by December 26th

  • $150 cancellation fee from December 27th to January 9th

  • No Refunds after January 9th, unless purchased purchase protection from Regpacks

10. What should I pack?

We will send a full packing list closer to the trip, but participants should plan to bring:

  • Swimwear

  • Casual clothing

  • Sleepwear

  • Spending money

11. What health and safety measures are in place?

Staff will be trained in first aid, and we will have a staff member driving an emergency vehicle just in case.

12. How can I request a roommate?

Roommates can be requested during the registration process.

13. Who can participate in this trip?

Participants must be Jewish and in 8th-12th grade.
