Transportation will be provided from the Northbrook JCC and Congregation Beth Judea in Long Grove

📅Q. When is the CHUSY Six Flags Field Trip?

The trip is happening on Sunday, May 18th, 2025.

🎟️ Q. Who can attend the CHUSY Six Flags Field Trip?

A. The trip is open to 5th-12th graders from across CHUSY!

  •  5th-7th graders will be placed in groups and supervised by staff and teen leaders.
     

  •  9th-12th graders have the opportunity to volunteer as staff and lead 5th-7th grade groups.

A. Pricing for the CHUSY Six Flags Field Trip is as follows:

  • 🎟️ $54.00 through May 11th
     

  • 🎟️ $10.00 for Season Pass holders
     

  • 🎟️ $63.00 full price after May 11th

🎒 Q. What should participants bring with them?

A. To ensure a safe and fun day at Six Flags, participants should bring:

Lunch Options:

  • Money to purchase dairy or pareve food at Six Flags.
     

  • Bring a nut-free sack lunch if they prefer.
     

Essentials:

  • Sunscreen 🧴 (apply before arriving and bring extra)
     

  • Reusable water bottle (to stay hydrated) 💧
     

  • Hat and sunglasses 🧢🕶️ (for sun protection)
     

  • Comfortable walking shoes 👟 (expect lots of walking!)
     

 Optional Items:

  • Money for snacks and souvenirs 💸
     

  • Light jacket or sweatshirt 🧥 (in case it gets cool later in the day)
     

  • Small backpack 🎒 (to carry belongings)
     

🚌 Q. Will there be transportation provided?

A. Yes! Transportation is included in the cost of the trip. Buses will depart from and return to the following locations:

👕Q.  Is there a dress code for the event?

A. Yes! Since we’ll be spending the day outdoors and walking around a lot, we recommend that participants:

Dress for Comfort:

  • Wear comfortable clothing suitable for warm weather.
     

  • T-shirts, shorts, and light, breathable fabrics are best.
     

Footwear:

  • Wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes (like sneakers) to protect feet and ensure comfort for lots of walking.
     

  • Avoid flip-flops or sandals, which can easily fall off on rides.
     

Other Tips:

  • Bring a light jacket or sweatshirt in case the weather cools down.
     

  • Consider wearing a hat and sunglasses for extra sun protection.
     

🌧️ Q. What happens if it rains?

A. In the event of bad weather or rain, an alternative plan will be communicated to families prior to the event. We will do our best to ensure that participants still have a fun and engaging experience, regardless of the weather.

 

🛡️ Q. Are there any safety measures in place?

A. Yes! The safety of our participants is our top priority. To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience:

 Staff-to-Participant Ratio:

  • We will maintain at least a 1:10 staff-to-participant ratio throughout the trip.
     

 Group Supervision:

  • 5th-7th graders will be assigned to groups and will stay with their group leaders at all times.
     

  • 8th-12th graders are required to travel in groups of at least 3 while exploring the park.
     

Check-In System:

  • There will be required check-in times throughout the event to ensure that all participants are accounted for.
     

Emergency Procedures:

  • All staff will be equipped with emergency contact information and a designated meeting point will be established in case of separation.
     

 

💸 Q. What is the refund policy?

A. Our refund policy is as follows:

 Full Refund:

  • Cancellations made on or before April 27th will receive a full refund.
     

 No Refunds:

  • Unfortunately, we are unable to offer refunds for cancellations made after April 27th.
